Who We Are

We are, quite simply, a body of like minded people that have a deeply rooted desire to improve the lives of the helpless, the impoverished, the abandoned. The name BoxAid came from the idea of providing an all round service to all types of people with any type of need- from food to empowerment. The vision is being “boxed in humanity” where we are all unified under the same umbrella in our humanitarian initiative. Our founders own experiences have brought us together in a fight for humanity. We strive to do our part and help poor communities work to a self sustaining lifestyle where they can meet the basic needs of an individual: Food, Water, Shelter, Healthcare and Education. Our main initiative, however, is to reduce waste in the UK by collecting goods and redistributing them to struggling individuals and families. We are determined to help the planet become a waste free place with our humanitarian mission.

What We Do

Care and concern of the environment is an important aspect of BoxAid’s values. All our humanitarian efforts are carried out with the intention of reducing waste and using it to assist others in need. We combat waste and climate change in the UK by rescuing goods bound for the landfills. We then restore these goods and items and provide them to struggling families and people in temporary accommodation. We are also working towards creating a support system for these struggling families, refugees, low income households, migrants, domestic violence victims, victims of torture and captivity as well as families or individuals in temporary accommodation. We support them with essential goods, furniture and household items to help them build a more stable environment and life. BoxAid has a vision of being able to create a system that helps these people adjust to life in the UK by teaching them about the British way of life as well as it’s laws and structure. The goods we assist struggling families and individuals with are also sent abroad to poor communities so that they can improve their own living standards and sustain themselves, which helps to discourage migration as many suffer on long journeys from torture and trafficking in trying to reach countries abroad for a better life.  BoxAid saves anything from clothes, plastics to furniture that can be used to help them. These items are reused, renewed, reduced and recycled..
